Sunny Sunlit Sunday

8th February

After a long hard week waking up today to a deep frost that quickly melted under the winter sun was delightful. Spring is most definitely in the air here in Oxfordshire and for that I am grateful.

Taking a walk this morning around our village there was a distinct happiness in the air.

Shadows were strong in the winter sun today

I had to turn my face up towards the sun. It might not
be as strong as the summer sun but it warmed my face.

It was such fun playing with the camera and shadows

Even in the garden the sun made everything  look less bleak.

Old shoes waiting for their spring planting...won't be long now.

On the north side of the garden the snowdrops have not yet opened.

However on the opposite border they are in full bloom.

Inside the sun made it's mark also.

And the seed potatoes are beginning to shoot...

Shadows inside too

I am taking a few minutes of my day to join in with Karen and others to join in on Sunlit Sunday. Pop over and see what others are sharing.

❤️  Hope the sun is shining wherever you are too. ❤️

  12. Selma, I enjoyed taking a glimpse at your village and a bit of a walk along with you. The shoe planter idea if very clever and to see things blooming is a treat. It's very much a winter day hear and my shovel is calling me to do a bit of clearing of the light and fluffy snow.
