24th April
Today is the last Friday in April, frightening thought don't you think. It is definitely true the older you become the quicker the days, weeks and months fly past. So with this in mind, I decided to reminisce, please excuse but indulge me. Grab a coffee or better still join me in a glass of red and view through some of my month highlights.

My garden...
April and May are the best months in my garden, after 15 years here, I still have not cracked the rest of the year, ho hum. Must try harder.

My London...
Living not too far from London, I do try to get into the capital at least once a month, I love being a tourist in our own city, after so many years, I still find new discoveries and of course often visit old haunts.

It's been a good month. The flowers are looking glorious. I might try my hand at potato growing next year. Those growing bags look a good idea. The area around where you live looks so flat to me - here we are surrounded by mountains. X
ReplyDeleteYou should try potatoes. Nothing better than newly dug and eaten within minutes. We have lots if rolling hills here, we are in the base if the Chiltern hills. But it's nothing compared to the mountains of Norway that I am used to.

DeleteYou garden is looking beautiful, a real delight. I love the potato bags we are growing some in barrels at the moment so hopefully we will get some tasty potaoes.
ReplyDeleteWe grow new potatoes every year but have not ever tried them I bags before. They are so much more ahead than the ones in the ground. Can't wait to eat them.

DeleteThis post makes me homesick! My husband and I lived near Watford for 5 years but have been back in the states for 5 years now. There are few things better than a proper English garden and yours looks lovely! Great pictures!

DeleteApril was a good month in terms of sunshine wasn't it? I think that your garden looks lovely and I've really enjoyed seeing your photos of London - the British Library is one of my faves too. DeleteWell, I came along but with a nice glass of NZ Sauvignon.... Gorgeous pictures, the rapeseed ones remind me of the view from my sister's home in Northants, very distinctive smell!
