Crochet creations

April 11th

We are now into week two of the sharing a photo a day of crochet and below I present to you my entries.  It is such fun choosing what to share and how best to display it.  Some people are incredibly clever and inventive with their photography styling, I can but wish I could learn and have the eye.

Here are my latest five:

Day 6   CROCHET SPACE

My 'crochet space' choice was where I keep
my inspirational books and patterns

Day 7:  FAV HOOK

My favourite hook is this plain and simple grey size 4mm.
It belonged and was used first by my grandmother,
then mamma and now I use it.

 Day 8:  BLANKET

I chose this blanket as I made it
whilst teaching my first crochet class

Day 9:  PRETTY IN PINK

Pretty in pink had to be my scrap busting granny stripe vase

Day 10:  FLOWERS

For flowers I chose to share one of the many
crochet rings I have made over the years, I wear this one a lot.

What would your entries look like?

  1. My entries would be few and far between so far :-) but I'm persevering and enjoyed my latest project. I adore how crochet always seems to use more vibrant shades. I just need to be more brave with my colour choices. I love how you have a handed down hook. Will you too have the opportunity to pass it on? I don't remember you mentioning if your daughter does any crochet. X

    1. I keep returning to it The books are just so lovely. I know now there is so much on the web and I do use that but there is nothing like turning real pages I feel.

  7. Greetings Selma, I'm a bit behind in reading my blogs, but I loved your post about your sail boat. Sounds like it's a lot of fun. We had a boat back in Gig Harbor; it was fun but lots of work. I loved seeing your favorite crochet hook that was your Grandma's. How special. I hope your week is off to a great start. Have fun. Hugs, Pat

    1. Thanks Pat. I'm terribly behind in reading blogs too, need to somehow rectify that soon. The sailing was great. I've never heard of Gig Hsrbour, will look that up. And I live my hook to bits. You take care Pat x

  11. I wish I were skilled with yarn work but it simply escapes me. I hear it's as calming as meditation.
