Time versus crafting

April 6th

It's true I have neglected this blog and my crafting for the past two weeks and I apologise to you my dear reader and to my crafty self.  This just won't do.

Time

An evil of my life at present, there are just not enough hours in the day to do ALL that I have to do, such as the boring job front which helps to being in some small beans to survive on and the desire for crafting and making.  In fact my creative juices are ebbing away with not being constantly fed by making...do you suffer from this?

Solution ?

My daughter is mid revision flow and has the most complex revision timetable made, she and my husband made it together and it seems to work brilliantly, maybe I need to timetable my life a bit more?  A timetable like hers or maybe a lovely new shinny journal, more detailed than my messy but cannot live with out hand written diary, none of this smart phone diary tech stuff for me  may help me in my quest to accomplish more in each 24 hour period.

Enough chat, look what I have managed to squeeze into my day, a daily photo challenge.  I do so love these and again this one is run by the talented Ashley of Lazy Daisy Jones It's not too late to start and each Friday a winner is chosen from the Friday's post on Instagram (IG) to receive lots of goodies. If you do not have IG why not join along with me and post your photos to my Facebook page, you will not be eligible for the competition but it would be wonderful to see your photos...  https://www.facebook.com/eclectichomelife/

  1. Great to see you back. I assumed you'd gone on holiday. I love your photographs. It's always so good to soak in the colour. I'm still desperately trying to get more colour into my home - I have a dreadful habit of 'playing safe' and sticking with neutrals. I'm afraid I can't assist in time management. Mine is also seriously lacking at present. Procrastination is my downfall . Much love Selma. X

  3. I don't think there is a solution. We all just want to do so much and cannot accomplish that when working full time. All day I dream of what I will work on in the evening, but by the time dinner is cleared away I'm exhausted! Your blanket and cushion look wonderful :)

  4. I have no answer to your problem, there just isn't enough hours in the day. I took early retirement to spend more time with my husband and we have both said we don't know how we ever managed the time to go to work. Where does time go?

    1. Indeed where does the time go? I work part time s do often wonder what would happen if I went back full time? I wonder if you just work faster and prioritise better beaches you have to? I really don't know the answer.

  5. Ooooh I love all your photos, you're bound to win. I've never seen so many crochet hooks!! When it comes to time management, I would spend all my time making the timetable I think. x

    1. Karen you are too kind. There are many more on iG who have such a great eye for styling photos that's not my forte unfortunately. But I love taking snaps so thank you.

  7. I'm always out of time as when I get into the flow of writing, everything else goes away. Right now, I'm moving and so I can't write or nothing would be done and new new people would be coming into the house with me sitting on my laptop surrounded by empty boxes! Great photos.

  8. If you could find ways to get more hours in your day I sure hope you pass them on, I can't sleep any less so that is out of the question!
