An eclectic hot week

3rd July

So much to share and so little time, let the pictures do the talking today...

Eating for a healthier life style this week...

Breakfast in a cup

A meze lunch with family

Different salads all week for dinner

Playing with glass as much as I can...

Last weeks cutting...

...to this weeks light catcher

A bowl in the making

A slightly wonky bowl produced

The sewing machine has been out this week...

A dress almost completed, fully lined too!

Last weeks fabric became this weeks bunting,
today it travels to the USA

I quite fancy it for myself though!!

A week of traditional British sport...

Even out local florist supports Wimbledon

Love the tennis rackets and suspended tennis balls

My daughter and friends on the river Thames, with our boys quad
in the background preparing to race at Henley Royal Regatta

A beautiful day by the river

Perfect weather

So very British

A little bit of garden tranquillity after sad news of Wink...

I wore my flowers from Amy as a gift from one blogger to
another to honour the memory of Marinke, who lost her battle
with depression last Friday.
A great blogger and inspirational crochet designer.

  2. Love the bunting such a delight. Depression is such a terrible thing my heart goes out to her family and friends, may she be at peace now.

  3. Your summer food looks lovely, as does your new dress and the lovely tranquil blues in your glass. I am sad to read about Wink it does make you think of how fragile we, and life, are:)

  5. You are really having fun with the glass work. Wonderful projects. And sounds like you are keeping extra busy, especially when the weather is lovely. Just still so hard to believe that Wink couldn't pull herself out of the darkness. Lovely flowers in her honor. Best wishes, Tammy

    1. Tammy, I can't stop thinking about Wink. It's just so sad. She did say she was in a dark place but who knew she wouldn't be able to beat it. Sending you love

  6. Love the lightcatcher, working with glass must be tricky. The bunting is gorgeous, I wouldn't want to part with it either. Enjoy your weekend.

    1. Thanks Teresa. Funny how we both showed bunting this week. The glass work is not too tricky but you never quite know how it will turn out. Makes it all the more exciting.

  12. Another week full of colour and creativity then, Selma. Well done, you are so clever. But may I take issue with you over that butterfly? I do believe it's a tortoiseshell rather than a red admiral. Lovely post. x
