I have suddenly become overwhelmed by the number of projects I have begun and not finished. Not least because I have two projects that I really want to begin but feel I must complete the outstanding ones first. Am I alone? Do you always complete what you begin or are you little like me?
So without further ado the next week is all about finishing off. Wish me luck and hope I come out the other end triumphant.
So I have some crocheting, knitting, embroidery and machine sewing to tackle this week. Hope to see you on the other side!!
♥ Have a wonderful weekend whatever you do! ♥
I hope that you have had a great weekend working on your WIP's and that you are feeling rather better about them all now! xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Amy. One completed already but was rather sidelined by my husband who decided we should move all the downstairs rooms around. I now have two rooms switched over the dining room and lounge. It meant we had to dismantle the oak dining table and move a piano!! Took all day yesterday! Love it though, surprisingly x
DeleteYup, I think I've got about six projects on the go, plus plenty more waiting in the wings that are in severe danger of being started. It's normal.
ReplyDeleteYou are so incredibly creative. Your cushion cover and the fabric picture of birds are especially stunning.
Thanks Twisted. Am slot working my way through them. Bottle cover finished. But seem to have been side tracked by little red Christmas creations... Ho hum!
DeleteI Selma! Usually I postpone the finishing off of some WIP when I have to sew something, because I don't like very much so i understand you! I'm waiting to see your Christmas gifts and Scandinavian traditions too! Have a great day!:::Silvia
ReplyDeleteHello and happy to welcome you to Eclectichomelife. I just love the beginning of a project and watching it grow. Once I know what it will look like my mind wonders onto the next thing. Not good. I must be better. In December I shall be posting lots about Scandinavia and Christmas but also scroll back to Dec 2013 and I have a lot if things there too. Enjoy and I'm glad you stopped by. Thank you x
DeleteHi Selma,
ReplyDeleteYour blog is a very pleasant discovery, thank you.
The seriously weird thing is that I wondered about felting but not had the time to research it (nor the time to take on another craft) so to read your last post was fabulous, thanking you.
Helen
Welcome! Felting is fabulous. I have not had much experience. My mother and I have made knitted slippers in giant size and machine washed them to felt with great success but this was the first other felting. I feel if there were more hours in the day this could be a serious hobby!! Crochet and thick textured felt. What's not to like!? Let me know if you do any, would be very interested. X
DeleteSo many WIPs! Having many things on the go at once gives me terrible anxiety - I have to really focus and try to finish things off, otherwise things have a tendency to go pear shaped. Of course, now I've discovered designing crochet motifs and items it's much harder not to have lots of UFOs lying around...
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting us at crochetbetweentwoworlds.blogspot.com!
I totally understand the anxiety aspect and think I may try and finish before I begin another. Don't think I can change over night but it is my aim not to have WIPs hanging over my head, it's not a great feeling!!
DeleteGood luck with all your WIPs! I totally get how you feel!
ReplyDeleteThe 1930's hat looks interesting. Can't wait to see how it will turn out. It certainly looks warm which is good for this time of the year.
Take care
Anne

Thank you! I'm working my way through them. I love the hat but am having to frog it as it has come out too large for my head but the shape and design are great. Thanks for popping over x
DeleteSelma, I have an unfinished project from more than 30 years ago when I was a young girl! A quilt. Currently it is cooking projects of which I get too many going at once! I'll have pastry chilling, bread dough rising; stuff going on the stove, in the oven and in the slow cooker; and cooling racks everywhere!
ReplyDeleteYour kitchen sounds a wonderful place to be. I bet the recipients love it. As to the quilt any chance if picking it up again?
