A quick on the hoof/sail post as Internet is not miss than hit at sea. Here are my 5 pics for the week...
Brimble is in the background. Lovely agapanthus everywhere on the Scilly Isles
Always important when sailing to get ashore and stretch ones legs. Sailing can be as short as a half hour hop round to the next bay or as is the case this week a 36 hour sail also...
But what it does mean is that we get to see lots of our country and our lovely safe boat has taken us to many foreign places too. In the ten years we've had Brimble we have sailed over 15000 and visited in excess of 15 countries (one day I'll sit down and count how many)
So typical and colourful the south coast of the UK often hang out bunting. It's jolly and I love it. Seaside towns at their best...
Which takes us of course to sandy beaches, sailor style...
Wishing you all a continued happy summer. Joining in with Amy sharing my 5 with you all.
Lovely pics. I've never been to the Scillies, my brother used to go every year, it sounded idyllic....but expensive. Love Agapanthus but can never get the buggers to grow. Happy sailing.

Wonderful photos and the Agapanthus are amazing - they make my lonely two look a bit sick! Enjoy the rest of your summer sail. I have to admit to being a teeny bit envious so may need to go and look at the JST website and dream.......
ReplyDeleteI love all the blue in your week. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I am off to Cornwall and the Scillies soon and your pics have got me in the holiday mood already. Sail safely... x

Glad to see your husband made it to pick you up and wasn't too distracted by the Guinness. The Scilly Isles look beautiful! This seems the very best way to spend a holiday, just sailing from place to place! Have a wonderful rest of your holiday xx
