      Spring door wreath recycle

      2nd March

Rather than put it in the recycle bin,
      I decided to recycle it!
I truly must be getting older and into 'that' phase, whatever that is!  How can we be in March already?  I feel the year has only just begun, do you feel the same?  I decided I needed to greet Spring with a flush of colour and a welcome.  I am missing colour are you?  Those deep blue skies, vibrant greens, not to mention the abundance of colour that can be found on spring flowers, hopefully now just around the corner.  We have a couple of daffodils out, the crocus' have decided not to show their faces this year and the snowdrops still bloom, just.

So a quick 20-30 minutes later and I had my very own splash of colour on the front door having used only what I had in house, also thanks to Amazon packaging!!

Trying to achieve a symmetrical oval

      Looks as I hoped, phew!

Cover in fabric, this case I used felt

Add some seasonal daffodils and raffia

Happy with my early March door wreath

Do you decorate your front door all year round, or are you a seasonal decorator, just a Christmas wreath person, or not decorations at all.
If you have any great tips for wreath making, please do share...

      ♥  Have a great week  ♥

      1. It's quite frightening how quickly this year is moving along. I have a small shelf in my work room come office come den come everything, that I change each month. Suzy x

        1. Would love to see what you do. I quite often have a red wooden heart and a sign saying "Gone Sailing" on our door but today I just needed some colour

      3. I never have a wreath on my door, not even at Christmas. My dad lives with us and he thinks they look funereal. So I do without!

        1. I can see where he is coming from actually. But if one didn't have flowers or foliage on would he accept that I wonder? Or perhaps in a different shape? Had I had more time this morning I was thinking if trying a triangular one...

      4. Great idea Selma and a great use of what you had to hand!! I like a little decoration on my door of some sort. I see that Gillian mentioned that her Dad things they are funereal, I have had people tell me that too and ask why I have one on the door, but I don't really think they are, especially with summery and spring flowers! xx

      5. This looks lovely--very creative use of Amazon packaging! I change things around on our mantel every month. It's just nice to change things around every now and again. X

        1. I am beginning to think I should make our mantle seasonal too. Am enjoying (still) the valentines hearts on twigs dispute the fact they have been there for several weeks. Maybe time to change to something else too...
