      Christmas Scandinavian paper craft

      December 8th

Paper craft has always been popular in Scandinavia, in Norway an afternoon in December in school is given over to making the wonderful paper woven baskets, a post from a couple of years ago explains the love of Norwegian hearts:  Hearts and in Denmark families will spend an afternoon not just creating woven hearts but Christmas paper mobiles.  It's fun and suitable for all ages and great to create new ones each year.  Have a go and maybe start a new tradition.  A few ideas that I have tried out this year...

Easy to make circles, jus use two different shaped bowls

Again, easy to make symmetrical hearts, use cookie cutters

A paper heart mobile, Scandinavian style

Made from inspiration taken from various sources on Pintrest

      Scandi bird

      Hanging paper bauble

And even this year in our local supermarket, they too clearly love paper crafting...

I love the shape of this bauble

How effective is this dash of red for the robin

How are you Christmas preparations coming along?  Might you give paper crafting a go?
